Further perfecting a project of recognizing TDM as a first-class city

The 9^th conference of the 10^th TDM city’s Party Committee was held on the morning of March 21 to review the local leadership situation on political system construction, socio-economic development, national defence-security in Q1, 2017 and implement orientations, tasks for Q2, 2017, in attendance of Pham Van Canh, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of provincial People’s Council.

In Q1, 2017, the city’s Party Committee directed the good implementation of Party building, especially personnel work. The city’s administration building reached changes in realizing a plan on socio-economic development, management on public investment, administration reform and urban management; making orientations for urban development between 2016 and 2020. The city’s economy continued maintaining growth with total retail value of commodities and services reaching more than VND20trillion; industrial production value at more than VND3.6trillion, a year-on-year increase of 8.2%...

In order to successfully carry out targets on socio-economic development, national defence and security in 2017, the city will continue implementing the Government’s Resolution No.01/NQ-CP dated January 1, 2017 on major tasks and solutions guiding the implementation of the 2017 socio-economic development plan and State budget  estimates; concentrate on State budget management; tighten control over revenues; perfect a project of recognizing TDM as a first-class city and summit it into provincial Party Standing Committee and People’s Council for approval…

On behalf of provincial Party Standing Committee, Mr.Canh announced three decisions on personnel appointment. Accordingly, Nguyen Van Dong, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Secretary of TDM city’s Party Committee, Chairman of the city’s People’s Committee was appointed as Head of provincial Party Committee Office; Vo Hoang Ngan, member of TDM city’s Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of the city’s People’s Committee as Deputy Director of provincial Department of Construction; Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Construction as Vice-Secretary of TDM city’s Party Committee.

Addressing the conference, Mr.Canh assigned a task of electing the title of Chairman of TDM city’s People’s Committee for the 2015-2020 tenure. He stressed that personal planning and rotation is a regular and objective job in the Party’s leadership while hoping that the city’s Party Committee will continue well fulfilling entrusted tasks, especially in developing TDM into a first-class city.

On this occasion, provincial Party Standing Committee honored the Party cell of quarter 7 in Phu Cuong ward, a pure and strong unit for five consecutive years from 2012 to 2016; 36 outstanding individuals during the past five years…
