Get-together marking Vietnam Trade Union’s 90th founding anniversary held

Phu Giao district’s Labor Union has just held a get-together to mark the 90^th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929-July 28, 2019) and honored outstanding trade union officials in 2019.

At the get-together, delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of the Vietnam Trade Union during the 90 past years. Upholding this tradition, the district’s Labor Unions at all levels have step by step improved operational contents and forms, especially in propaganda work, contributing to stabilizing production, protecting laborers’ legitimate rights and interests while strengthening social activities. In the first half of 2019 alone, they coordinated with agencies, units and mass organizations to mobilize laborers to continue excelling at studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals; visit and offer gifts to workers hit by workplace accidents; build a house of compassion for a needy trade unionist; work with the Capital Aid Fund for Employment of the Poor  to disburse VND12billion in loan for more than 400 trade unionists; visit 150 cases with VND40million; set up 4 trade union locals in non-State enterprises with 130 laborers, develop additional 124 trade unionists…

At the get-together, the organizers honored 90 outstanding trade unionists in 2019; awarded the certificates of merit of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to Nguyen Thu Nga, Chairwoman of the district’s Labor Union for her excellent performance in 2018.
