During the 2015-2020 tenure, with the determination and efforts to overcome difficulties of the Party, government and people of Ben Cat Town, along with the attention and support of Provincial Party Committee and provincial departments, Ben Cat Town Party Committee have led the whole district to take advantage of opportunities, overcome difficulties and challenges, successfully implement Party Resolutions and targets under the provincial action plan and 4 projects set by Ben Cat Town Party Committee.

New rural construction, urban renovation

After many efforts to implement the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, Ben Cat Town was recognized by the Prime Minister to complete the New rural construction program in Decision No. 264 / QD-TTg dated March 8, 2019. The results of new rural construction have good impacts on socio-economic infrastructure of the town, and the material and spiritual life of Ben Cat people has been significantly improved. In addition to the capital allocation from the budget, the town actively mobilized resources from socialization sources to invest in fundamental infrastructure, gradually completed unfulfilled criteria, contributing to improving the quality of new rural construction criteria.

Over the past tenure, Ben Cat Town also organized the effective implementation of the Project to improve urban renovation in the 2016-2020 period; identified key projects for each period and mobilized all resources to invest. So far the town has basically completed project targets, such as: Transport and state management in urban renovation, technical infrastructure investment. For lottery capital fund, the town completed 10/10 works (reaching 100% of the assigned targets); created good changes in social infrastructure of the town, changed the appearance of Ben Cat town in accordance with the socio-economic development, the position and role of Ben Cat in regional relationships.

Nguyen Thanh Phong, Chairman of People's Committee of My Phuoc Ward, said that as the central urban area of Ben Cat, My Phuoc Ward complied with the approved urban planning. The ward also focused on good management of urban order, construction order, environmental sanitation, investment in infrastructure, transport systems, lighting system, drainage; pay attention to improving people's awareness of urban civilized lifestyle. Since then, the ward also made certain contributions to the urban development process of the town in recent years.

To improve the quality of human resources

Ben Cat Town Party Committee determined human factor and personnel to play an important role, thus implemented and gained good results from the Project on training and improving the quality of human resources. With the leadership and direction role, the town Party focused on training and retraining to improve the qualifications and capacity of civil servants and workers in the area to meet requirements and tasks in new situation. The town Party directed the training and retraining of civil servants to meet the requirements of tasks in the industrialization and modernization period of the country according to Resolution No. 32-NQ / TW dated May 26, 2014 of the 11th Central Committee of the Party Central Committee on continuing to renovate and improve the quality of training and fostering political theory for leaders and managers; Regulation No. 164-QD / TW dated February 2, 2013 of the Politburo on regimes of fostering and updating knowledge of leaders and administrators at all levels. The town Party Committee also paid attention to political theory education, fostering and updating knowledge of officials and party members with many innovations in methods and forms. Meanwhile, vocational training for workers met the requirements, attracted qualified labor sources into companies and enterprises in the area.

Cultural and social development

Besides economic development, Ben Cat Town Party Committee also paid great attention to socio-cultural development through a scheme on development of cultural institutions. The town completed works and projects, such as: Monument of the town, Culture - Sports Center, Traditional House and Library, children's House; equipped outdoor exercise machines at 30-4 Square, Cay E Park, Phu An Commune Park; established three centers for Culture, Sports and Community Learning in Phu An, An Dien communes and Chanh Phu Hoa ward. The town also built offices of quarters and hamlets to serve cultural, sports, study and community activities of the people.

Nguyen Thi Ly Hoa, Deputy Director of Ben Cat Town Culture and Sports Center, said that over the past 5 years, Ben Cat Town made great progress in infrastructure. In particular, the town built cultural institutions to better serve people needs, such as: Monument, Children's House, Traditional House and Library, multi-purpose sports hall. These are completely new constructions, creating a modern and civilized urban appearance for the town. In the coming time, these constructions will further improve the cultural and spiritual life of people from all strata in the town.

It can be said that the effective implementation of the four projects of Ben Cat Town Party Committee created a remarkable development on the socio-economic life of the locality in the past tenure. The results created a foundation for Ben Cat Town to advance quickly on a civilized and modern urban road; strengthened beliefs and consensus among all people in the leadership of the Party and administration of the government.
