Grasping advantages for tourism development

With famous landscapes, Phu Giao district has been absorbed more tourists in and out of the province in recent years. Realizing the great potential, the district is focusing on implementing the Project on developing Phu Giao’s tourism products for the period of 2018-2020 so that tourism will become a key sector of the locality.

Potentials

Over the past time, Phu Giao district was known by tourists in and out of the province with famous places like Buu Phuoc pagoda relic,  Phuoc Thanh provincial Chief’s Palace relic, Song Be broken bridge relic, Thanh Nguyen Truc Lam Zen monastery; Unifarm hi-tech agricultural park…The number of tourists from neighboring localities, especially Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, HCM city to the district has been increasing in recent years.

Coming to the district, young people regularly visit historical relics. Meanwhile, elderly and middle-aged people like visiting pagodas and Thanh Nguyen Truc Lam Zen monastery is a place where they visit frequently. Hence, spiritual tourism is also one of potentials of the local tourism sector.

Other highlight is that the district has a lot of favorable conditions on soil and wealther for agricultural development. Over the past time, the district’s Party and government directed the implementation of specialized areas on cultivation and large-scale farms, namely the Unifarm hi-tech agricultural park in An Thai commune, the hi-tech milk cow farm in Phuoc Sang and Tan Hiep communes. These models also have a great potential in ecotourism development. In addition, the district possesses ideal destinations along Song Be river, absorbing young people from neighboring provinces and cities.

Further promoting tourism

Phu Giao district has given priority to making investment in infrastructure; called for investors to get involved in the local tourism sector; further upgraded existing tourism sites, creating new tourism products…For 2020’s target, the district will secure a source of revenue from tourism, creating jobs for the local laborers; use this source to upgrade cultural-historical relics and protect the environment towards sustainable development.

Pham Van Nghia, Head of Phu Giao district’s Division of Culture and Information said that under the Project on “the Project on developing Phu Giao’s tourism products for the period of 2018-2020”, the district will build attractive tourism sites and products in order to absorb more investors; link with relevant units to design tours; tap transportation services, improve the quality of restaurants and hotels; strengthen activities on tourism promotion and other services to absorb more tourists…The district will also speed up socialization in tourism development; constantly enhance the quality of tourism types…

With the above-mentioned advantages plus the efforts by the local leaders, the district will be a renowned place in ecotourism of the province, contributing to promoting the image of then Phuoc Thanh homeland-Phu Giao today in particular and Binh Duong in general.
