Along with sectors, authorities at all levels, mass organizations in the province have stepped up propaganda about the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and the People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure among Youth Union members, associations ‘members and workers.

Many propaganda forms at companies

At Thong Dung Shoes Co. Ltd. in Thuan An city’s An Phu Ward, with more than 7,000 employees, the company’s trade union local has attached special importance to election propaganda through many forms. Nguyen Minh Tien, Chairman of the company’s trade union local said that with many forms, the company’s trade union local has intensified propaganda among trade unionists and laborers so that they clearly understand about the purpose, significance and importance of the upcoming election; citizens’ rights, obligations and responsibilities, thereby encouraging them to be self-conscious, and actively participate in the upcoming election.

Especially, each official of the company’s trade union local has always raised high the spirit of initiative and responsibility in propagandizing and mobilizing trade unionists and laborers to actively participate in the election while focusing on propagandizing to raise their vigilance against distorted allegations, conspiracies and actions that sabotage the election from hostile forces. “Through propaganda to make employees clearly aware of the elections of deputies to the 15^th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure in order to select virtuous, talented representatives of people to exercise State power, actively contributing to building, consolidating and perfecting a rule-of-law state of the people, by the people and for the people”, said Mr. Tien.

Trinh Anh Tuan, Chairman of Hai My Co.Ltd.’s trade union local in Thuan An city’s Binh Chuan ward said that the company is now home to more than 6,400 workers. In a bid to prevent Covid-19 pandemic, the company’s trade union local does not organize mass gatherings for election propaganda. The company’s trade union locals has disseminated contents about the election among trade union leaders in factories so that they deploy these contents among workers while making election propaganda via Zalo group, Facebook, bulletin boards, internal newsletter of the company, banners hung at the company’s entrance, collective kitchen...Tran Trong Hoa, a worker of the company’s security control department said: “Through information propaganda about the election, I have better understanding about the Law on Election of National Assembly and People's Council deputies, know about my citizenship and where to vote. I will uphold the right of voters in choosing people with enough virtue and talent for the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels… ”.

Deep, wide pervasion at lodging facilities

The local government and mass organizations have also strengthened election propaganda among workers at lodging facilities. Nguyen Thanh Thao, Chaiwoman of Phu An commune’s Women’s Union in Ben Cat town, said that the commune is now home to 171 lodging facilities with more than 7,200 lodgers, mainly being employees working for companies, factories in the locality. Therefore, the local government and mass organizations have deployed wide and deep plans on election propaganda. With the motto for all people living and working in the locality to have a clear understanding of the upcoming elections, the communal Women's Union has implemented many propaganda forms among members, including cooperating with the local Youth Union to organize activities of sub-unions for young workers at lodging facilities. At the meetings, young workers were heard about the Law on election of deputies to National Assembly and People's Council, citizens ‘rights and obligations in election, the voting process ... "From now until the day of the elections, the local Women’s Union will actively coordinate with mass organizations to regularly organize propaganda sessions for young workers at lodging facilities… ”, said Mrs Thao.

Nguyen Hoai An, Head of the Training Professional Department under provincial Center for Youth Workers said that propaganda on election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure among young workers was one of key tasks deployed by the center over the past time. Specifically, the center coordinated with the Youth Union of Chanh Phu Hoa ward in Ben Cat town to organize 2 "Happy Sunday" programs at lodging facilities crowded with workers. “In the programs, we carried out propaganda about the law on the election and knowledge related to the election. From now until the day of the election, the center will continue actively coordinating with the local government and mass organizations to organize visual propaganda sessions at lodging facilities ”, he said.

“Under provincial Party Committee's Plan No. 09 dated February 1, 2021 on election propaganda to the 15th National Assembly and the People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure, provincial Labor Union has instructed trade unions at all levels of the province to promote propaganda among trade unionists and laborers. The peak period of election propaganda is from April to before the election day (May 23). After the end of the election and announcement of the results of the election, provincial Labor Union will continue focusing on propagandizing the results of the election and activities to celebrate the success of the election ”, Nguyen Thi Kim Loan, Chairwoman of provincial Labor Union said.
