 With favorable geographical location, good infrastructure, Thuan An town owns important factors to promote the development of high quality services. In recent years, Thuan An town has enhanced the implementation of a high-quality service program, creating a breakthrough in economic restructuring, developing towards modernity, civilization, conservation, and meeting demands in the new period.

In order to develop high-quality service and infrastructure, Thuan An town has gradually invested in construction, upgrading, specifically: High-quality accommodation received much investment to meet demands of experts working in industrial zones; banking system, financial services, logistics, transportation, and other types of service had the potential for rapid development, high competitiveness. Warehouses and transportation services were expanded, creating favorable conditions for businesses, contributing to promoting a fast and sustainable economic growth. 

As a result, annual total retail sales of goods and service revenue increase by 23%. Currently, the town has 4,203 enterprises in trade and service sector, of which 599 are FDI enterprises, 63 are petroleum-trading businesses, 5 supermarkets, and 6 trade centers with a total of investment capital of VND 4,398.8 billion (commercial centers accounted for 72.23%), 21 enterprises of logistics services, 12 automobile showrooms, 3 notary offices... Luxury villas and townhouses also thrived in the town, such as Oasis luxury villas (VSIP 1 Industrial Park) with an area of ​​22.2 hectares; The Seasons - Lotte Mart project complex (Lai Thieu ward) with 11.4 ha; Habitat luxury condominium...

Besides, the system of financial, banking, and insurance services expanded and improved, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development. The whole town has 22 banking branches and transaction offices, well served daily needs of domestic and foreign customers. Transport - logistics services achieved certain good results. A number of key projects were completed and upgraded according to the local development planning in association with the province's development, such as My Phuoc - Tan Van road, An Phu intersection, Ba Lua bridge, and An Phu - Binh Chuan road ... The town has 1 inland waterway port (An Son port complex with an area of ​​32 hectares, total investment capital of 454 billion VND), 1 ICD of Tan Cang Song Than Joint Stock Company, total area of ​​500,000m2, is an inland clearance point for Cat Lai - Cai Mep, 36 enterprises providing logistics services, of which 3 businesses provide full-package services with an area of 5.9 ha, investment capital of over $70 million, they are Mapletree (Singapore), YCH Warehouse – Protrade, and Southern Logistics Joint Stock Company. 

Education and training services also rapidly developed both in public and non-public areas, meeting the learning needs. Currently, Thuan An town has 52 public schools and 66 non-public schools with 96,012 students, an average increase of 7,825 students / year. Besides, healthcare network has gradually been strengthened and improved. The whole town has 822 private medical and pharmaceutical facilities, 1 medical center with a class-2 hospital with 250 beds; 10 medical center and 6 general clinics with 72 beds, the total number of public hospital beds is 322. Public healthcare facilities were built solidly, fully equipped for medical examination and treatment.

Giving priority to potential areas 

In order to develop high-quality services in the coming time, Thuan An town will continue to create a breakthrough, develop services in the direction of modernity, civilization, while preserving and promoting national traditions, enhancing international economic integration, taking people as a center to quickly meet the requirements of socio-economic growth and economic restructuring. Especially, priority is given to the development of services with great potential and high competitiveness, essential services that directly affect people health; expand new services, especially those with high intellectual content, productions and businesses that support services. Strong, comprehensive and sustainable development of the service sector on the basis of the infrastructure that was enhanced and improved; continue to utilize the demand for increased services in the period 2016-2020.

Nguyen Thanh Tam, Chairman of Thuan An town People's Committee, said that high-quality services in Thuan An town in the period of 2016-2020 had achieved good progress. It was a high growth in production value of service sector with a high level of gray matter, economic restructuring gradually reduced the proportion of industrial production and increased the proportion of services, maintaining agricultural stability to be consistent with development orientations. The quality of products is increasingly improved, links in production are more effective, the quality of people’s lives is increasingly heightened. 

In order to improve infrastructure and attract investment in industrial zones, Thuan An town gradually moved enterprises outside industrial zones to northern districts, created a land fund, improved and built a modern and open city; focusing on attracting investment resources to develop Thuan An urban center, becoming a central urban area of the province in the direction of civilization and modernity, and a highlight of urban – service development of the province and region in the future.

 From now to 2020 and in the period 2020-2025, Thuan An  town set out specific tasks and solutions such as: Raising awareness and renewing thinking about high-quality services; building and perfecting the development strategy of high-quality service sector in the town, in which key tasks from 2019 to 2025 are defined, with a focus on potential and beneficial service sectors, service sectors with high scientific and technological content and high added value, including information and communication technology services, educational services, logistics services, financial services, business support services, tourism services, transport services, distribution services, science and technology services, and health care services.
