Implementing information technology applications in the health sector in 2019

The Department of Health has just developed a plan to deploy information technology (IT) applications in 2019 in the whole industry. The plan was built to raise awareness and responsibilities of officials, civil servants and employees in health units to promote IT application to meet local development requirements. IT must be considered as an effective tool to accelerate the implementation of computerization in the management of medical examination and treatment and payment of health insurance under the direction of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Health.

Some of the planned objectives should be focused on implementation in 2019, which is 90% of the documents exchanged between agencies and units in the industry circulated in electronic form; 70-80% of the issued documents are signed and authenticated by digital signatures; 100% of medical examination and treatment establishments apply HIS software in medical examination and treatment activities and jointly send and send medical examination and settlement data to medical insurance according to regulations; 100% of health facilities deploy electronic health records system under the direction of the Government and the Ministry of Health.
