Improving quality of Trade Union locals

Under 2020’s theme “Improving the operational quality of Trade Union locals”, province-based Industrial Parks (Ips)’Trade Union has bent on giving training for Trade Union officials, supporting Trade Union locals at enterprises to boost dialogues at workplace…, aiming to well realize its task in taking care of and protecting laborers ‘legitimate rights and interests.

Building up strong Trade Union

Province-based Ips’Trade Union now has 440 Trade Union locals with nearly 156,000 members. Mai Thanh Thao, Chairwoman of province-based Ips’Trade Union said that attaching special importance to improving the competence of Trade Union officials, especially the operational quality of Trade Union locals is needed to give better care for members and laborers.

In 2019, province-based Ips’Trade Union excelled at taking care of and protecting laborers ‘legitimate rights and interests. There were 95% of enterprises with Trade Union locals under the Trade Union having working regulations; nearly 75% with collective labor deals…

Lu Quang Thu, President of Scancom Co.Ltd.’s Trade Union local in the Song Than industrial park said that the Danish-invested company is specialized in woodwork processing with a total of nearly 3,100 laborers, around 95% of whom are Trade Union members. Activities of the company’s Trade Union locals have so far reached in-depth development. The company’s directorate and Trade Union local have always taken good care of the spiritual and material lives of laborers. Along with putting forwards incentive policies in favor of laborers, the company’s Trade Union has excelled at visiting, mobilizing laborers to offer help to tens of extremely-difficult ones.

In the coming time, the company’s Trade Union locals will continue improving with more practical and effective activities, better meeting laborers ‘needs. According to Mr.Thu, winning the faith of laborers together with the support of employers is needed to be able to uphold the effectiveness of Trade Union activities at FDI enterprises.

Enhancing quality of Trade Union locals

Since early this year, province-based Ips’Trade Union has launched the emulation movement of “Working well, working creatively” among laborers in association with the slogan of “Improving the operational quality of Trade Union locals”.

Accordingly, the Trade Union implemented many practical activities for laborers, including boosting its role in realizing democratic regulations at workplace; supporting Trade Union locals in the process of making dialogues at workplace; strengthening dialogues between Party, authorities, Trade Union officials, employers and employees…

The Trade Union also disseminated the amended Labor Law and organized training courses on soft skills for 100% of Trade Union locals ‘officials; strengthened dialogues at workplace, made collective negotiations, signed collective labor deals with more profitable provisions for laborers, tightened control over the implementation of collective labor deals as stipulated…Moreover, the Trade Union launched the emulation movement of “Higher productivity, higher quality” among laborers…Mrs.Thao said that the practical effectiveness of the emulation movement will contribute to increasing productivity, income for laborers. This is also the benefit of members, laborers and the sustainable development of enterprises.
