Industrial production is expected to achieve growth goals

 Over the first 6 months, the industrial production index of the province gained a good growth rate, especially the processing, manufacturing, electrical and electronic industries. To fulfill sustainable growth target of the industry, the province has implemented many policies and solutions to stimulate the production, business, tackle difficulties, assist enterprises. By this time, economic situation of the province has many optimistic signals, is gradually recovering.

 During the first months of 2020, despite of many difficulties caused by the Covid-19, industrial production of the province has maintained a good growth. Business community, industrial production facilities have been proactive, strove to adapt to the new situation, maintained production and retained workers. Many enterprises, organizations and individuals contributed opinions, made suggestions to governmental levels, industries to restore socio-economic development.

Up to now, enterprises have approached support policies, made efforts to restore production, expanded consumption market, thus industrial production of the province is gradually recovering. The index of industrial production of the first 6 months 2020 is estimated to increase by 6.4% over the same period last year. According to Bui Minh Phong, Head of Management Board of provincial Industrial Parks, due to the early epidemic control, economic sectors are entering the normal state again, industrial production has gradually regained its growth from May 2020. Investors of industrial parks and secondary investors have carried out infrastructure and factory construction with a total capital of more than VND5,954 billion, leased lands and factories with a total area of 41.6 hectares, foreign investment attraction reached $673 million. The entire province has 29 industrial parks, total area of 12,721 hectares, land leasing rate reaches 84.4%, and 12 industrial clusters with a total area of 790 hectares, land leasing rate reaches 67.4%.

Provincial Department of Industry and Trade also carried out many activities to recover and stimulate the development of industry-trade in the new period. The Department also strives for the highest completion of objectives of the year 2020 and creates a good foundation for growth in subsequent years. Accordingly, Department of Industry and Trade enhanced the reform of administrative procedures to assist enterprises. In particular, functional units of the department published their phone numbers, email address to receive enterprises' feedback of the implementation of relevant laws, and to give timely answers and instructions...

In order to facilitate the development of industrial production in last months of the year, Department of Industry and Trade checks and solves timely difficulties of sectors and projects in field of industrial production, especially processing industry and manufacturing industry, to improve capacity, expand production scale. In addition, the Department will cooperate with some FDI enterprises to search for domestic producers and sources of raw materials, components that are capable of replacing import sources in the short-term as well as long-term. In addition, Department of Industry and Trade in collaboration with other departments continue to develop industrial parks and clusters to be more active in domestic raw material supply; propose appropriate incentive policies, firstly for textile and footwear industry and major sectors affected by the Covid-19; to have mechanisms to encourage the production of components, spare parts, intermediate products in the country...

Nguyen Thanh Toan, Director of Department of Industry and Trade, said the Department collaborated with Management Board of provincial Industrial Parks to enhance the construction of infrastructure, attract more projects in industrial zones, clusters; strengthen the state management of land, support the production and business development in order for the industry continue to maintain its growth, actively contribute to GRDP of the province, especially to create jobs and stable income for workers.
