During the summer youth volunteer campaign 2017, provincial Youth Union will attach special importance to organizing on-site volunteer activities, absorbing the involvement of Youth Union members and many other forces.

Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of provincial Youth Union said that during the summer youth volunteer campaign 2017, provincial Youth Union will concentrate on professional fields, strong points and diversified operational ability of youths in association with their duties. Volunteers will be trained and equipped with necessary skills on social work.

Volunteer youths make contributions to building civilized urban and new rural areas

Provincial Youth Union will attach special importance to dissemination of the campaign, aiming to create consensus among people for better results. This year’s campaign will focus on 4 main activities: “Giving strength to examination season” program, “Green summer” campaign, “Red phoenix-flower” campaign and “Pink vacation” campaign.

It is known that this year’s summer youth volunteer campaign will take place from June 1 to August 31 under the theme of “Binh Duong’s youths join hands to build civilized urban and new rural areas”. Accordingly, provincial Youth Federation will team up with provincial Young Physicians’ Association and Young Entreprenuers’Association to organize a journey “Following the footsteps of heroes” and provincial Volunteer Entrepreneurs’ Day in newly-style communes, areas crowded with people in association with activities celebrating the 70^th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947-July 27, 2017). Youth Union branches at district level will join hands with armed forces to get involved in significant activities such as upgrading rural roads…Whilst, Youth Union branches at communal level will take part in building new rural areas. Provincial Youth Union and its branches will also strive to construct at least one kilometer of rural road and install lighting systems on 10 kilometers of rural road.

In addition, Youth Union branches at district/town/city levels will set up propaganda squads, keeping traffic safety and order; take part in building civilized streets, alleys with “Green-clean-nice and safe” criteria. Youth Union branches at communal/ward/township levels will engage in activities keeping traffic safety; monthly maintain rejuvenation of roads and alleys; eradicate illegal advertising boards…

Provincial Youth Union and its branches will also bend on “paying debt of gratitude” activities. Besides, they will realize a target of having at least 1,000 Youth Union members to be given vocational consultancy, vocational training, job introduction and startup business orientation; start construction of 5 charity, “red scarf” houses; set up 3 youth model lodging facilities…

The province’s summer youth volunteer campaign 2017 will also comprise of many other significant activities such as healthcare, blood donation, legal constancy, “Voluntary Saturday” program…Such these apart, provincial Youth Union and its branches will organize candle-burning ceremonies at martyrs’ cemeteries in the province; effectively deploy a work “youth flower garden following Uncle Ho’s teachings” and a journey “Sentimental bus trip”; hold practical activities to take care of policy beneficiary families…

All the above activities will create a good environment for Youth Union members to train and grow up, contributing to the cause of national defense and construction.
