Millions of green trees planted

The province has accelerated the local industrialization and modernization process towards a smart city. That’s reason why the province has paid more attention to protecting the environment and combating climate change. Over the past time, along with taking synchronous solutions to minimize environmental pollution, the province focused on planting green trees and solved environmental issues in the province in general and urban industrial parks in particular. So far, millions of green trees have been planted in urban, industrial and residential areas, contributing to raising the local coverage rate of perennial trees to 57.3%.

Nguyen Van Hung, General Director of Becamex IDC said that under provincial People’s Committee’s instruction on associating environmental protection with urban and industrial development, Becamex IDC has built annuals plans on planting green trees, mainly in industrial, residential zones, complexes and Binh Duong new city. Till now, millions of green trees have been planted in industrial and urban zones, contributing to improving the local living environment.

Smart city construction

Mai Hung Dung, Permanent Vie-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee said that planting green trees on the occasion of Uncle Ho’s birthday May 19 is annually implemented by the province. This year, the province has set up a plan on planting green trees towards sustainable urban development. The plan is expected to be realized in 2018 and 2019. This is also one of important contents in Binh Duong smart city development. Becamex IDC has also built a software monitoring over green plants planted in the province every six months.

Provincial People’s Committee has just issued the Plan No.2050/KH-UBND on the implementation of a program planting green trees for the period of 2018-2019 with a goal of raising public awareness of the effect of afforestration in association with socio-economic development, environmental protection, which is also one of important contents in a plan on Binh Duong smart city development…

Under the program, Becamex IDC will provide localities with green trees free of charge to plant in industrial and urban zones managed by it. Phu Giao, North Tan Uyen, Dau Tieng districts will be supplied 10,000 green trees per year for each district; Ben Cat, Thuan An, Di An, Tan Uyen towns, Bau Bang district and TDM city with 20,000 green trees per year per locality; provincial Youth Union with 20,000 green trees.

Contributions by enterprises and people

According to Mr.Hung, planting green trees has been implemented by the province for many years. This year’s tree planting festival has been launched in both enterprises and households. Accordingly, each household is mobilized to plant at least 2 or 3 green trees. For industrial and urban development enterprises, they must also have a sense of responsibility in ensuring a green-clean and nice environment, in which planting green trees is very important.

Becamex IDC has always associated industrial development with environmental protection, contributing to improving the quality of people’s life, creating a good investment climate for enterprises while keeping the best living environment for generations in the future.
