Journey “connecting young workers” and “following the footsteps of heroes” kicked off

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947-July 27, 2017), TDM city’s Youth Union yesterday held a journey “connecting young workers” and “following the footsteps of heroes”, with the participation of more than 250 local Youth Union members and young workers.

Finally, the city’s Youth Union organized a contest named “Young workers with the local history, geography, Youth Union…, thereby aiming to educate Youth Union members about revolutionary tradition, patriotism and raise their awareness and responsibility in the cause of national construction and defense.

*Early July 22, Binh Duong Medical College’s Students’ Association organized a ceremony to launch the 2017 summer youth volunteer campaign and journey “following the footsteps of heroes-paying tribute to heroic Vietnamese mothers.

During the summer youth volunteer campaign, the school’s 8 volunteer squads with 150 members will focus on offering help to 2 new-style communes of Bau Bang, North Tan Uyen districts, provincial General Hospital, residential areas and giving strength to exam season.

After the ceremony, the school’s volunteers got involved in “paying debt of gratitude” activities on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947-July 27, 2017). They also offered incense at provincial Martyrs’ Day, Tam giac sat (Iron triangle) Tunnel relic site in Ben Cat town’s An Tay commune; visited, provided medical check-ups, medicine and gifts for two heroic Vietnamese mothers in Ben Cat town’s Phu An commune…

It is known that over the past time, the campaign helped school’s students train and uphold their voluntary spirit, contributing to solving social problems.
