Local sector of industry-trade determined to reach targets on industrial-service development

On the afternoon of January 19, the province’s sector of industry and trade held a conference to review its activities in 2017 and extent tasks for 2018, in attendance of Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

The province’s index of industrial development (IIP) in 2017 surged 10.98% compared to the same period of 2016 or 102% of the year’s plan. The province’s total revenue of commodities and services was estimated at more than VND161.35trillion, up 19% against the same period of 2016 or 100.5% of the year’s plan. The province’s export turnover was more than US$28.53million, up 17.6% compared to the same period of 2016, or 101.3% of the year’s plan…

In 2018, the sector has set major tasks and solutions to well realize plans and projects approved by provincial People’s Committee. The sector will also strive to achieve a 9% growth in IIP compared to the same period of 2017; reach a 15.5% growth in export turnover against the same period of 2017…

Speaking at the conference, Mr.Liem spoke highly of achievements done by the sector while asking for relevant units, especially provincial Department of Industry-Trade (DoIT) to further create favorable conditions for enterprises to work, boost industrial promotion; implement a task of supply-demand in a synchronous way and strengthen the fight against smuggling, counterfeits…
