Update: 12-05-2020 | 11:15:13

Over the first 4 months 2020, the monitoring work of food contamination in the province, especially in conventional markets, was strengthened by provincial Market Management Department. Accordingly, Market Management force at districts, towns and cities bought 136 food samples and sent to Eurofins Company for testing.  The result was 12 samples to be below standards. To examine food contamination at markets, Market Management forces quickly tested 580 food samples, such as noodles, bologna, beef balls, pickles, rice noodles, fired fish etc. in the province. The result was 59 positive samples. Inspection groups encouraged businesses to voluntarily destroy all products infringing food safety and required to make commitments.

In the second quarter 2020, provincial Market Management Department continued to strengthen inspection and control of commodity markets. Namely, the force continues to collaborate with functional agencies to inspect and control food safety at conventional markets and supermarkets, trade centers and business establishments in the area to change business behaviors and prevent food poisoning.
