Plentiful resources

On July 18, Binh Duong provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control sent an official dispatch to relevant businesses, units and departments on the implementation of the plan to ensure the circulation and supply of essential goods and market stabilization in districts, towns and cities to cope with the epidemic. The official letter required businesses to ensure the reserve and supply of goods in sufficient quantity and quality as required. Depending on each level, businesses must supply goods according to the coordination of the authorities by focusing on stabilizing the market of essential goods to serve the shopping needs of the people. The total value of regularly stocked goods in the warehouses of 11 participating supermarkets is always about VND 685 billion. Some essential items such as food and foodstuffs will be supplied stably every month by 2,250 tons of buffalo and cow meat, 7,500 tons of pork, 3,750 tons of assorted poultry meat and 40 million poultry eggs. Particularly for the supply of vegetables and fruits to serve the market stabilization, the Department of Industry and Trade, units and trade centers should continue to connect supply and demand with businesses inside and outside of the province.

For petroleum products, the province assigns two enterprises of Thanh Le Corporation and Song Be Petroleum Joint Stock Company to undertake a full supply of the entire petroleum system in the province with the quantity of petroleum products expected to increase by 10-12% over the same period.

The official dispatch assigned the Trade Union, the Management Board of Industrial Parks, and the Department of Industry and Trade to work with distributors and supermarket systems to ensure the supply of essential goods for businesses. Currently, Mega Market has supplied about 70% of businesses in industrial parks in the province by mobile shipments. Supermarkets arrange vehicles to ensure the source of goods, the collection of money from people according to the prescribed invoices and price lists. It is proposed that suppliers such as Aeon Binh Duong supermarket, Co.opMart, Big C, Masan, etc. shoul deploy stable sales and give priority to Phu Giao, Bac Tan Uyen, Bau Bang, Dau Tieng and.Ben Cat town and other points where goods supplies need to be strengthened in the blockade area.

Clean goods and safe delivery

In order to ensure that goods reaching consumers must be clean, safe and convenient, the provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 prevention and control also requires medical centers to serve the maximum testing needs of vehicle drivers and give them priority to vaccination against Covid-19; license and create favorable conditions for mobile vending vehicles and goods transport vehicles to the point of sale to be able to go back and fro in the province conveniently.

In addition, people are encouaged to increase online purchases with online phone numbers or supermarket apps on their phones. Particularly for the blocked areas, the district and commune level committees for epidemic prevention and control, depending on the actual situation in the locality, proactively arrange to receive orders from people in different forms such as online purchases and arrange a support force to go to the post office to buy and receive replacement goods to help people.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Toan, Director of Department of Industry and Trade, said that the day before the application of social distancing, the purchasing power of people in the province increased sharply.

However, the goods supplyig system in the area still met the demand. In the Northern districts, there is a local shortage of goods. Currently, the Department of Industry and Trade is coordinating with Lam Dong province to supplement the source of vegetables and fruits for Binh Duong. The provincial Market Management Division has also sent a force to inspect and handle cases where prices are not listed or being higher than listed.
