Mid-autumn gifts given for children

On the evening of September 8, Van Son pagoda teamed up with TDM city’s Youth Union to organize a mid-autumn festival under the theme of “Beloved moon festival” for needy children in Dinh Hoa ward.

The festival took place with many significant activities. Particularly, the pagoda offered 300 mid-autumn gifts, comprising of lanterns and moon cakes, to the local poor children. They also had a chance to enjoy special art performance items…

On this occasion, the pagoda awarded 15 scholarships to pupils at the ward’s charity class. It is known that earlier, it gave 15 scholarships for poor-but-excellent pupils of Dinh Hoa primary school; presented 200 mid-autumn gifts to children in the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap.
