More than 300 athletes take part in Thu Dau Mot City Traditional Chess Tournament

On April 13, at Dai Nam Tourist Area, Thu Dau Mot City Culture Information – Sports Center held the opening ceremony of Thu Dau Mot City Traditional Chess Tournament 2019.

The tournament had 22 units with over 300 athletes from 9 provinces and cities in the Southeast region, the Southwest region and the Central Highlands. Athletes competing in contents: amateur individual (male and female), standard chess team, and blitz chess in each age group U7, U9, U11, U13 and open (without age limit). In the professional content (male and female), standard chess team, blitz chess at each age group U7, U9, U11, U13, open. The tournament was to create a healthy playground and enhance the chess movement in the region in general and Thu Dau Mot City in particular.
