North Tan Uyen’s industrial manufacture, trade-services reach robust growth

North Tan Uyen district was previously well-known as a land with unlimited quantity of rubber and fruit trees. But now, along with rubber and fruit trees, the locality is also gained vigorous development in terms of industrial manufacture, trade and services.

Absorbing more investors

Since being established, North Tan Uyen district has received infrastructure investment under the synchronous and modern trend, contributing to the local socio-economic development. The district has also bent on taking solutions to absorb investors.

Stores have loomed large across Tan Thanh township

Dat Cuoc industrial park is seen as a lever for the district to develop the local industrial manufacture. Currently, the district has a total of 4 industrial parks and compounds with more than 530 enterprises with total investment capital of more than VND 9.1trillion. These enterprises have also generated jobs for thousands of laborers in and out of the locality.

In 2015, the district’s economic growth was 11.03%. The average income of the local people was around VND40.7million per person. The local economic structure was developed with 45.08% in agricultural production, 30.40% in industrial manufacture and 23.52% in services. Till 2018, the district’s agricultural production value was more than VND2.21trillion. The district’s industrial manufacture value was more than VND3.37trillion. The district’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services was more than VND2.2trillion.

Last year, the proportion of industrial manufacture accounted for more than 60% of the local economic structure. The average income of the local people was more than VND50million per person.

Stable, high growth maintained

In the first nine months of 2019, the district’s agricultural production value was more than VND1.57trillion, up 3.51%. The district’s industrial manufacture value was more than VND2.87trillion, up 12.77% while trade-service value was more than VND1.9trillion, up 12.83% compared to the same period last year. With stable and high growth, the district is striving to fulfill 2019’s plan on economic development soon.

Regarding agriculture, the whole district is now home to 65 farms on cultivation and 56 farms on animal husbandry. The district has so far also lured hundreds of businesses. Meanwhile, the district’s sector of trade-services is on sharp growth with plentiful commodities at people’s demand for shopping.

In the remaining 3 months of 2019, the district will soon perfect relevant procedures so that the local center for agricultural services will be put into operation. The district will also attach special importance to poultry and cattle development in association with prevention of epidemic diseases; tighten control over the slaughter, transportation and trading of animals and their products on the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2020.

For trade-services, the district will give priority to luring support services for agricultural-industrial production together with tourism, financial-banking and transportation ones. The district will also brace up investment socialization for markets, supermarkets and plazas.

The district continues absorbing hi-tech and environmentally friendly projects. In the coming time, the district will quickly deal with enterprises’ investment procedures outside industrial parks as stipulated. The district will also continue hastening the progress of compensation and site clearance for the expanded Dat Cuoc industrial park, the Tan Binh industrial park, the Vietnam-Singapore industrial park III for the phase 1…

For sustainable development, the district has attached special importance to absorbing investment projects into industrial compounds and parks; focused on infrastructure development at people and enterprises’ needs for production and daily life.
