North Tan Uyen’s Women’s Union reviews six-month activities

North Tan Uyen district’s Women’s Union has just forwarded a conference to partially sum up its activities in the first half of 2017.

Over the past six months, the district’s Women’s Unions at all levels launched emulation movements among members. They well realized three major tasks, especially effectively implemented a scheme on “Educating women about food safety in the period of 2017-2021, models on “Improving legal knowledge among women”, “Women in North Tan Uyen with thrift practice”, “All are members”, “Giving strength to elderly women and those with difficult circumstances”…Additionally, they admitted additional 223 members, lifting their total number of members so far to 8,613.

On this occasion, the district’s Women’s Union also awarded the certificates of merit of the district’s People’s Committee to 7 collectives and 14 individuals with excellent achievements in realizing the Resolution No.11 on women task in the period of intensified national industrialization, modernization and the Law on Gender Equality.
