Over 500 people give blood

On March 28, Phu Giao district’s Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation in collaboration with the HCM city-based Cho Ray hospital’s Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center held its second voluntary blood donation campaign of 2017.

The campaign absorbed more than 500 officials, teachers, civil servants from sectors, mass organizations and people in the district together with soldiers from the Commando Battalion 60. After being medically checked, 313 were eligible to give blood.

As a result, the organizers collected 313 units of blood, equivalent to 109,550 milliliters of blood. All the blood amount will be brought to Cho Ray hospital’s Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center to serve patients in need of blood.
