Over VND10.2billion in loan disbursed for locals to develop production

In 2016, Phu Giao district’s Tan Hiep commune considered and disbursed VND10.234billion in loan for 537 households.

Of that amount, VND208million was for poor households; over VND5.65billion for near-poor households; VND515 for job creation; more than VND1billion for poor students-pupils; more than VND2.9billion for clean water and environmental hygiene…

According to leaders of Tan Hiep ward, the above preferential loans contributed to creating advantageous conditions for the local households to rise up out of poverty. This also contributed to reducing the local rate of poor households under the province’s multi-dimensional poverty approach as of late 2016 to 1.15% and near-poor ones to 3.02%.
