Over VND19billion spent on supporting women to develop homebased business

The Women’s Union of An Son commune in Thuan An city now has a total of 1,100 members and 8 branches. Since early this year, the local Women’s Unions at all levels have helped 58 women getting more than VND2billion in loan, bringing the total number of members provided loans so far to 339 with total outstanding loans of more than VND19billion.

Thanks to the above support, many local women have got more conditions to develop homebased business and take good care of their families. From this, they have actively participated in Party and government building.

This is also a series of activities under the Project 938 “Communication, education, advocacy and support for women’s involvement in solutions to women-related social issues” in 2017 - 2027”, bearing a practical significance in improving the role of women in family, residential area as well as in implementing the national target program on new-style rural construction in An Son commune.
