Over VND271billiion in loan disbursed for 7,491 poor people, policy beneficiaries

On the afternoon of April 23, Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam’s Bank for Social Policies (VBSP)’s Binh Duong branch presided over a conference to review activities of the branch in Q1 and extend tasks for Q2, 2019.

Accordingly, the branch in Q1, 2019 disbursed more than VND217billion in loan for 7,491 poor households and policy beneficiaries to develop homebased business, step by step rising up out of poverty. At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and analyzing shortcomings of the branch and paid more attention to loan programs for poor households.

Addressing the conference, Mr.Hung acknowledged achievements done by the branch over the past time. In the coming time, the branch will continue being proactive to coordinate with authorities at all levels, sectors and units to boost propaganda activities, deal with overdue debts, create optimal conditions for the poor to get loans…
