Over VND8.2billion spent on giving strength to poor pupils

Last year, the whole province reduced, exempted tuition of more than VND1.8billion for 2,685 pupils and students with difficult circumstances while supporting more than VND6.4billion in learning cost for 7,204 others.

Provincial Sponsoring Association for Disabled People, Orphans and Poor Patients also mobilized organizations, individuals to award 880 scholarships worth VND880million to poor disabled children; offer 153 bicycles worth VND223million to orphans, poor-but-excellent pupils. In addition, North Tan Uyen district’s Red Cross Society in collaboration with Taiwan’s TzuChi charity group donated 195 scholarships worth VND120million to needy pupils. Provincial Child Support Fund also offered 6 scholarships worth VND25million to poor-but-excellent pupils. Whilst, Vietcombank’s East Binh Duong branch gave 150 scholarships worth VND150million for disadvantaged pupils in North Tan Uyen district.
