Party cadres are pioneers in the epidemic prevention and control

During this gold period of epidemic prevention and control, each Party member in the province promotes their role as pioneers, good examples to people. This starts with very small action but contributes to the prevention and control of disease.

Promoting the role of Party members

The whole country is joining hands to prevent and control the pandemic, many Party members are not afraid of difficulties and dangers, actively take part in the disease prevention and control to protect people's health. In particular, Party cadres working in health sector, on duty in quarantine areas and cannot return their home for months to verify and treat suspected cases. Many Party members in arm and police forces also dedicate themselves to protecting quarantine areas, helping to buy necessities for quarantined people. They are really warriors on the front of disease prevention and fighting.

Dr. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, officer of provincial Center for Disease Control, takes care of suspected cases in quarantine area at provincial Military School. For many days, Dr. Thuy has not returned her home, has had to take care of everyone in the quarantine area. Every day, Dr. Thuy meets, examines, checks and monitors the health of isolated cases, encourages them to strictly observe the instruction and take exercises to improve their body resistance. To prevent the coronavirus from sticking on thresholds, floors, or beds of doctors, Dr. Thuy and her colleagues actively clean up to keep the general hygiene in the quarantine area. Dr. Thuy not only directly monitors health condition of quarantined cases but also be a friend as sharing their thoughts and console her patients.

Or Pham Nguyen Tuan Vu, who is in charge of epidemic prevention and control, is also a good example. Regardless of during the day or late at night, every time there is a phone call from epidemic areas, Mr. Vu immediately goes to confirm the disease situation, proactively contacts with functional forces to jointly handle cases, prevent an outbreak. On peak days, the hotline managed by Mr. Vu receives hundreds of phone calls related to the Covid-19. Together with other health workers, Vu's footsteps go to every street and house to confirm cases and communicate, raising people's awareness of disease prevention and control.

Pioneers in the implementation

Speaking at the meeting of provincial Covid-19 Prevention and Control Steering Committee, Tran Van Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Head of Provincial National Assembly delegation, called on Party members in the province to: "In order to spread the fighting spirit against the epidemic, transform it into actions in the community, all Party cadre, branches and unions at all levels need to further promote their pioneering and exemplary role in thoroughly communicating and implementing guidelines and solutions of the Party and the Government, instructions of Ministry of Health on Covid-19 prevention and control. That is the first step to create positive, practical effects that contribute to winning against the pandemic".

Following the call of Provincial Party Secretary, every unit and each Party cadres promote the role of a pioneer and an example. This starts from very small things, like: To often wear face mask; wash hands regularly with antibacterial solution; not going out without really necessary jobs, to implement social distancing within 15 days from 0:00 on April 1, 2020. Party member Nguyen Thi Thuy Ngan working at People's Committee of Hiep Thanh Ward (Thu Dau Mot City), has strictly followed recommendations of the health sector, directives on disease prevention and control measures of the Prime Minister. At work, she always wears face mask. In her neighborhood, she propagates dangers of this epidemic to local residents so that everybody join hands to well perform the disease prevention. Ms. Ngan said: “After the Prime Minister's Directive No. 16 on social distancing, I once again reminded local residents not to go out when not really needed; not to invite friends to lodging room or to visit anyone's house, improve their health”.

Tran Thi Dep, a retired Party member in Phu Loi Ward (Thu Dau Mot City), also takes the lead in the prevention and control of Covid-19. She reminded her children to limit going out, wear face mask and keep a distance of 2m when in contact with other people, always carry hand sanitizer and wash hands regularly. She also regularly cleans up her house. She shares information about the epidemic and encourages her neighbors and family members to strictly implement recommendations on disease prevention.

Many Party members actively postpone the organization of weddings, anniversaries, family activities, and actively encourage other people to follow. Vo Van Giau, Secretary of Dong Hoa Ward Party Committee (Di An City), said that 100% businesses and services in the area were closed, except for essential services. Apart from implementing drastically and synchronously solutions of the province and city, Party Committee of Dong Hoa Ward strictly handle Party members who do not well comply with the Prime Minister's Directive 16.

It is the effort of political system, each Party cadre and member that currently Binh Duong is well controlling the epidemic. So far no infection cases of Covid-19 have been recorded.
