Phu Giao, North Tan Uyen launch Action Month for Food Safety 2018

On April 12, Phu Giao district held a ceremony to launch the Action Month for Food Safety 2018 under the theme of “Strengthening responsibility of food producers and traders”.

This year’s action month aims to improve the role, responsibility of agencies, businesses and customers in ensuring the quality of food safety while mobilizing people from all strata, food producing-trading facilities and authorities at all levels to take part in disseminating traffic safety and applying scientific knowledge into food production and business, creating safe products.

*The same day, North Tan Uyen district held a ceremony to launch the Action Month for Food Safety 2018 under the theme of “Strengthening responsibility of food producers and traders”.

At the ceremony, leaders of the district’s People’s Committee asked for food producing-trading facilities to seriously realize regulations on ensuring food safety and hygiene. Also according to them, the local functional agencies need to strengthen inspection, monitoring and propanganda on food safety; seriously deal with infringements on food safety, step by step restoring order in food production, trade and consumption. In addition, the People’s Committees of communes need to improve their role and responsibility in food safety management.

After the ceremony, the district’s People’s Committee organized a parade disseminating traffic safety on main streets of the district.
