“Pink spring” festival 2017 absorbs 1,185 blood donors

On January 10, provincial Steering Board for Voluntary Blood Donation in collaboration with HCM city-based Cho Ray hospital’s Center for Hematology and Blood Transfusion held the “Pink spring” festival 2017 with the participation of 1,185 blood donors across the province.

The “Pink spring” festival 2017 draws the participation of people from all strata

This is the biggest voluntary blood donation event of 2017. Afer Tet, medical facilities regularly face a shortage of blood for treatment and emergency, so the festival bears a profound humanity significance, mobilizing people from all strata to give blood. As a result, the organizers received 750 units of blood.

Blood donation is a noble deed, showing each individual’s compassion and responsibility for the community as well as the “mutual love, mutual affection” tradition of Vietnamese people. Hence, the “Pink spring” festival has become a cultural beauty early in the New Year.
