Plan on organization of tree-planting festival 2018 implemented

To celebrate the 128^th anniversary of late President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890-May 19, 2018), TDM city’s People’s Committee, on April 16, implemented a plan on the organization of the tree-planting festival 2018.

As planned, a ceremony to launch the festival is expected to take place on May 18 in Tuong Binh Hiep ward’s quarter 3 with 500 trees to be planted.

The festival will be implemented in association with the campaign of “Building civilized urban and cultural lifestyle” for the period of 2016-2020 with the goal of disseminating the significance of afforestration, raising public awareness of this in association with socio-economic development, environmental protection…Accordingly, agencies, units, schools, armed forces and people in the city will respond to the festival, contributing to creating more green spaces.
