Planting trees for a green Binh Duong

Provincial Youth Union has widely and deeply implemented the 2019 program on “planting trees for a green Binh Duong” among its branches, thereby contributing to minimizing environmental pollution and adapting to climate change.

Under the implemented the 2019 program on “planting trees for a green Binh Duong”, provincial Youth Union has signed a cooperation agreement with Becamex IDC for planting urban green trees for the period of 2018 and 2019. Accordingly, Becamex IDC will provide provincial Youth Union with nurslings under provincial People’s Committee’s annual target.

Provincial Youth Union has also instructed its branches to focus on planting green trees in peak campaigns, namely “Tree-planting festival”, “Youth Month”, “Summer youth volunteer campaign”, “World Environment Day”, “Clean Up the World” campaign….In addition to planting green trees, they will be responsible for tending and protecting newly-planted green trees.

Along with realizing the targets of the program, provincial Youth Unions at all levels are proactively to plant green trees through many models for each different targeted group. Particularly, they will implement a forest- hill- garden-green cemetery and youth flower garden model in association with economic development and environmental protection in the rural region. In the urban region, youths will get involved in planting urban green trees; building youth flower streets, gardens, green apartment buildings and quarters while turning illegal rubbish dumps into flower gardens and playgrounds for children.

For young civil servants, laborers, they will carry out a model on green agencies, offices…Youths of armed forces will plant green trees at their agencies and support localities in this field. For teenagers and children, they will get involved in building flower gardens in the precincts of schools…
