With great advantages in terms of land and climate, so far, agricultural production, mainly developing industrial crops, has always been the main economic sector of Dau Tieng district. However, in recent years, with the policy of economic restructuring, Dau Tieng has no longer "unique" rubber trees, but other economic sectors in line with the conditions, potentials and advantages of the locality. The district is developing the plans, schemes and programs for industrial, commercial, service and tourism development of the district in the coming time to have been implemented carefully.

New rural area

The implementation of the new rural construction program has always been a priority in the socio-economic development of Dau Tieng district in recent years. Under the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the provincial People's Committee, the support from the provincial departments, the determination and efforts of the Party, and the people in the district, the implementation of new rural development in Dau Tieng has brought about encouraging results.

Over 6 years of implementation of the national target program to build new rural areas, up to now, Dau Tieng district has all 11 communes reach the standard of new rural communes and was awarded the emulation flag and the government for achieving "new rural district standard" by the end of 2016. Dau Tieng is also the first district of Binh Duong province to meet new rural standards. This is indeed a remarkable result and a recognition for the unceasing efforts of the Party, the authorities and the consensus and contribution of the people in the district. As a result of the new rural development, Dau Tieng rural socio-economic development has made significant progress. New vibrancy here is spreading vigorously. The results of the new rural construction in Dau Tieng district are positive and proud, however, the leaders of Dau Tieng district are not satisfied but are expressing their determination to improve the quality of the criteria achieved. Therefore, in 2017, the District People's Committee issued Plan 80 on the maintenance and improvement of criteria for new rural communes in Dau Tieng district from 2017 to 2020. Accordingly, all 11 communes are recognized to meet new rural standards must continue to review, actively develop plans to maintain and improve the quality criteria to improve the quality of material and spiritual life of people to ensure sustainable growth and development; economic structure and rational production forms, linking agricultural development with industry and services; attach rural development to urban areas; democratic rural society, equality, stability, rich cultural identity; protected ecological environment; Defence and security is maintained; To ensure the satisfaction of conditions for recognition of new rural communes and rural districts according to the provincial and central regulations.

Nguyen Manh Hong, Chairman of the District People's Committee, said that one of the key tasks of the district in 2018 is to focus on guiding and guiding communes to strive to improve criteria under the new rural criteria. central and provincial levels in 2017-2020; By the end of 2018, Thanh An commune will reach 19/19 criteria according to the new criteria to submit to the province to recognize the commune as "new model rural commune".

Seeking for breakthroughs in industry and services

The strength of Dau Tieng district is agricultural production with the main crops being rubber and more recently fruit trees. However, in the past years, implementing the policy of economic restructuring, the district has gradually developed industry, service and tourism. At present, the district has over 300 production and business enterprises. In addition, Thanh An industrial cluster has been operating stably, creating jobs for about 1,000 workers. The district is also urgently supporting An Lap Industrial Park investors to complete their investment procedures. On the other hand, the related units of the district are continuing to coordinate with functional branches to implement the planning project to expand Bau Bang Industrial Park towards Long Tan commune with an area of ​​nearly 1,000 hectares. These are promising signs, promising to have a "breakthrough" in the future in the industrial field of Dau Tieng.

Beside the industry, trade and services of the district have also flourished. The activities of bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas, trade fairs and exhibitions have met the demand of people. One of the tourism projects expected to be a breakthrough in the development of tourism in the district is the development of Nui Cau eco-tourist site. At present, the district is actively coordinating with Xuan Cau Co., Ltd to carry out procedures to invest in this potential tourist area. Cau Dau - Dau Tieng Lake is a scenic spot with pre-sea and post-lacquer making this resort nice and quiet with one side of the lake in the cool, next to the majestic canyon of the mountain nature. Here are many tourists choose to visit, play, entertainment and visit the temple. During the Lunar New Year 2012, the resort has welcomed over 27,000 visitors in and out of the province to visit, visit the temple.
