Province further helps businesses, laborers remove difficulties, due to Covid-19 pandemic

Early June 4, a central delegation led by Ngo Duy Hieu, Vice-Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor had a working session with provincial Fatherland Front Committee about the supervision of the implementation of support policies for enterprises and laborers facing difficulties, due to Covid-19 pandemic. Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee and leaders of sectors, departments and mass organizations in the province.

Reportedly, the whole province has so far had around 204,000 jobless laborers, 35 enterprises helping 5,247 laborers hit by Covid-19 pandemic enjoy support policies. The whole province now has a total of 19,727 business households with total capital under VND100million, 251 of which have requested to be got support policies in accordance with the Government’s Resolution No.42/NQ-CP dated April 9, 2020. As of now, the province has paid more than VND68billion for 64,552 people affected by Covid-19 pandemic. Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations have actively mobilized enterprises, people to support money, medical necessities, masks, rice…with a total value of nearly VND260billion for workers hit by Covid-19 pandemic.

Mr.Ngo asked for the province to further oversee the settlement of queries, helping laborers stabilize their lives; implement positive measures to better realize the resolutions of the Government, aiming to help laborers stabilize their lives and jobs…
