Province-based businesses have made efforts in maintaining production, ensuring jobs for laborers

Over the past six months, the province’s total GRDP value surged 6.73% compared to the same period last year. Of these, the province’s industrial manufacture and construction grew by 7.21%; services by 5.65%; agro-forestry-fishery by 3.45%...The province’s index of industrial production saw a 6.4% growth in comparison with the corresponding period last year. The province’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services was more than VND122.39trillion, up 9.4% against the same period last year. The province’s export turnover was estimated at US$11.9billion, up 0.4% compared to the same period last year while import value was US$9.4billion, up 4.2% with trade surplus at US$2.6billion. The province’s agro-forestry-fishery production value achieved a year-on-year increase of 3.3%.

The province’s total capital for social development during the period was estimated at more than VND51.97trillion, up 9.8% compared to the same period last year. As of June 15, 2020, the province’s total disbursement value for public investment capital was more than VND2.13trillion or 15.9% of the year’s plan. The province as of June 15, 2020 absorbed more than VND25.68trillion in domestic investment capital, down 6% compared to the same period last year and US$853million in FDI capital or 65% against the corresponding period last year…

Le Minh Quoc Cuong, Director of provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs said that the sector has paid attention to well realizing social welfare policies. As of June 24, 2020, the whole province spent VND68.6billion on supporting the targeted people under the Government’s Resolution No.42/NQ-CP. According to statistics, there were 258,229 laborers affected by Covid-19 pandemic from April 1 to June 12, 2020.
