Province’s export turnover in May up 3.8%

According to statistics by provincial Department of Industry and Trade, the province’s export turnover in May 2020 was estimated at more than US$2.14million, up 3.8% and 4.6% compared to the previous month and the same period last year.

Of these, the domestic investment sector reached more than US$315million, up 2.9% and 2.6% against the previous month and the corresponding last year while the foreign investment sector was more than VND1.82billion, up 3.9% and 5.6% compared to the previous month and the same period last year.

The province’s export value over the past five months was estimated at more than US$10.14million, up 3.7% compared to the same period last year. Of the total figure, the domestic investment sector achieved more than US$1.68million while the foreign investment sector was more than US$8.45million, up 7.2%...

Also during the period, the province’s import value gained growth with woodwork estimated at more than US$285.9million, up 1.2%; garment at US$371.1million, up 10.5%; footwear at US$298million, up 13.6% over the same period last year.
