Province’s urban region is home to 13,000 business households in agro-forestry and fishery

Provincial Department of Statistics, on January 20, forwarded a conference to sum up its statistics on rural areas, agriculture and fisheries in 2016 and implement tasks for 2017, in attendance of Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, Head of provincial Steering Board of General Statistics on rural areas, agriculture and fisheries.

Reportedly, the province is now home to 136,078 business households in agro-forestry and fishery, including 13,521 in the urban region. In the rural region, the number of business households in agro-forestry and fishery accounts for 35.8% of total; industrial manufacture-construction, 39.7% and trade-services, 24.5%. Most business households in agro-forestry and fishery are mainly in Dau Tieng, Phu Giao, North Tan Uyen and Bau Bang districts.

Speaking at the conference, Mr.Dung asked for provincial Department of Statistics to make more efforts in statistics to serve orientation for the local economic development strategies.
