Update: 03-07-2020 | 11:41:17

Early July 2, Nguyen Thanh Truc, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee had a working session with Vietnam-based Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA)’s delegation.

At the working session, Cho Han-Deog, the National Director of the KOICA in Vietnam said that with a synchronous and fully worked-out infrastructure system, Binh Duong has become one of attractive destinations for investors, including Korean ones. But, the province has faced environmental pollution, due to its rapid urbanization and industrialization speed. Hence, the KOICA wanted to support the province in realizing a project on waste treatment for power production. It is expected to coordinate with Samsung Engineering Company to carry out the project under the Private Public Partnership (PPP) form.

Mr.Truc, for his part, said that South Korea is among top countries making investment in the province. He also added that the province has given priority to hi-tech projects. Therefore, the project is very necessary for the province in the current period.

Whilst, Mr.Cho Han-Deog affirmed that the KOICA will research and perfect documents relating to the project while wanting that the province will further support necessary procedures so that the cooperation between the two sides will reach new development steps and concrete achievements in the soonest time.
