Provincial leader welcomes delegation of Laos’Savannakhet province

On the afternoon of May 18, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee received a delegation from Laos’Savannakhet province, led by Dr.Phosay Savasone, alternate member of the Party Central Committee of Laos, Vice-Secretary and Governor of Savannakhet province. Also attending the reception were Mai Hung Dung, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; leaders of sectors and departments in the province.

At the reception, Mr.Phosay Sayasone thanked provincial leaders for their warm welcome. He also briefly introduced Savannakhet province’s socio-economic performance while wanting that investors of the two countries will pay attention to learning about the investment climate of each side for cooperation and development.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr.Liem thanked the delegation’s visit while saying that the close-knit relationship between Vietnam and Laos has been strengthened in the recent time. Binh Duong also signed a cooperation agreement with Champasak. The two sides visited and shared mutual experience in socio-economic development.

The chairman also expressed his impression on the development of Savannakhet province over the past time and wanted that the two localities will set up programs to tighten bilateral cooperation and friendship.
