Provincial leaders congratulate Lord Buddha’s birthday

On the afternoon of May 16, Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee together with representatives of provincial People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee visited and congratulated provincial Buddhist Sangha at Hoi An pagoda in TDM city’s Hoa Phu ward on the occasion of Lord Buddha’s 2563^rd birthday.

In the visiting place, Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee wished the local Buddhist dignitaries, nuns, monks and followers a peaceful Lord Buddha’s birthday festival. He spoke highly of contributions by provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Board, Buddhist followers to the local socio-economic development. In addition, he wanted provincial Buddhist Sangha to further uphold the fine tradition of Buddhism; mobilize Buddhist nuns, monks and followers to well realize the Party’s guidelines and State’s laws, actively take part in patriotic emulation movements and strengthen the great national unity bloc.

On behalf of the local Buddhist community, Most Venerable Thich Hue Thong, Head of provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Board thanked the local authorities at all levels for their facilitation of religious practices…
