Provincial leaders visit, congratulate press agencies

Early June 19, Le Huu Phuoc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Education; Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee together with leaders of sectors, departments in the province visited, congratulated officials, reporters and staff of press agencies in the province on the 93^rd anniversary of Vietnam’s Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925-June 21, 2018).

Visiting and congratulating Binh Duong Newspaper, Mr.Hung spoke highly of contributions by the newspaper to the local socio-economic development. On behalf of Binh Duong Newspaper, Le Minh Tung, Deputy Editor of the newspaper thanked provincial leaders for their fine sentiments towards officials, reporters and staff of the newspaper. He also wanted that provincial leaders will further instruct the newspaper to victoriously realize entrusted political tasks.

The delegation also visited and congratulated Binh Duong Radio-Television Station, Binh Duong Labor Magazine, Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper’s representative office and Vietnam News Agency in the province.

*On the afternoon of the same day, Mr.Phuoc presided over a conference supplying information for press agencies in Q2, 2018 and reporting the local socio-economic performance in the first half of 2018.

Reportedly, province-based press agencies well realized their propaganda work in line with the central and provincial orientations in Q2, 2018.

Speaking at the conference, Mr.Phuoc wanted that province-based press agencies will further focus on disseminating the 5^th session of the 14^th National Assembly, draft laws approved by the National Assembly; the results of the socio-economic development, national defence-security in the first half of 2018, tasks and orientations for the remaining 6 months of the year; the results of the national high-school graduation exam 2018; the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies and laws…

*Early June 19, provincial Association of Historical Sciences held a seminar on “History of Binh Duong Newspaper”.

The subject includes 288 pages with 5 charters: Press activities in Thu Dau Mot ahead of the August Revolution; Binh Duong’s revolutionary press during the resistance struggle against French invaders; Binh Duong’s revolutionary press during the resistance struggle against American invaders; Binh Duong’s press in the period of Song Be province (1975-1996); Binh Duong’s press in the renewal and integration period (1997-2017). This is a work researching about the history of Thu Dau Mot-Binh Duong over periods.
