Provincial leaders welcome new South Korean Consulate General

Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly delegation, on May 14, received Lim Jae Hoon, the new Consulate General of South Korea in HCM city.

At the reception, Mr.Nam congratulated Mr.Lim Jae Hoon on his new position while affirming that the cooperation between Binh Duong, the South Korean Consulate in HCM city and South Korean Business Association is very fine. Binh Duong has had long-term and lasting relationship with South Korea’s Deajon city. Recently, Binh Duong has joined in the World Technopolis Association (WTA), which is considered as one of favorable factors for Binh Duong to develop into a smart city.

He also desired that the new Consulate General to further associate Binh Duong with South Korean businesses and asserted that the province will create advantageous conditions for South Korean businesses to work effectively.

The new Consulate General thanked the provincial leader for his warm welcome and asserted that the strategic relationship between Vietnam and South Korea will get better. Mr.Lim Jae Hoon also expressed his delight at the fine relationship between Binh Duong and South Korea. The South Korean Consulate in HCM city will coordinate with Binh Duong to successfully organize the WTA event and act as a bridge between Binh Duong and South Korean investors.

*The same day, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee also received Lim Jae Hoon, the new Consulate General of South Korea in HCM city.

At the reception, Mr.Liem introduced the province’s economic development and investment attraction over the past years. He said that Binh Duong has so far lured big investors from South Korea while pledging that the province will further create the best conditions for South Korean investors to work effectively.

The new Consulate General said that the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and South Korea has become more profound. He wanted that leaders of Binh Duong will further facilitate development of South Korean investors.
