Provincial leaders work with North Tan Uyen, Di An’s Party Committees and People’s Committees

Early April 26, a delegation of leaders from provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee had a working session with North Tan Uyen district’s Party Committee and People’s Committee about the local socio-economic development and  national defence-security in 2016 and Q1, 2017, orientations and tasks in the remaining 9 months of 2017. Tran Van Nam, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly delegation chaired the working session.

In 2016, the district’s agro-forestry and fishery production value reached more than VND2.05billion, up 3.95% compared to 2015, with hi-tech based agricultural models step by step formed up. The whole district is now home to 7 newly-style rural communes and is striving to fulfill criteria of the newly-style rural construction program for the remaining 3 communes in 2017.

The district’s industrial and home industrial production value was estimated at more than VND2.68trillion, up 11.84% compared to 2015’s same period. As of late 2016, the number of the local poor households reduced by 23 or 115% of the set plan…

Speaking at the working session, Mr.Nam required the district to concentrate on making planning for socio-economic development; use land effectively; consider and rearrange management apparatus; carry out compensation and site clearance for projects; bend on fostering hi-tech based agricultural models and improving the quality of people’s life…

*On the afternoon of the same day, a delegation of leaders of provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee, led by Tran Van Nam, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly delegation, also worked with Di An town’s Party Standing Committee about the local socio-economic development and  national defence-security in 2016, orientations and tasks for 2017.

The town’s Party Standing Committee last year focused on instructing Party organizations at all levels, authorities, sectors and mass organizations to realize and fulfill major tasks set out in the Resolution of the local Party Committee. The town also paid more attention to social welfare with the rate of poor and poor-near households reducing to 0.4% and 0.41%, respectively; well realized Party building work…

Concluding the working session, Mr.Nam said that Di An town plays a very important role in socio-economic development and national defence-security of the province. The town also made efforts in maintaining the local economic growth and minimizing social evils over the past time. But, the town needs to be more drastic in solving obstacles, especially those pertaining to transportation and residential area projects. The town now has a lot of key projects of the province and the region, so it needs to mobilize the whole political system to take part in compensation and site clearance, well use public land fund as well as well realizing urban planning and rejuvenation, environmental protection…
