Ms. Thanh Truc said: "There are still some poor and disadvantaged people, who need help from the whole community. As a bridge between benefactors, businesses and the poor, so every year the Red Cross organized this program to mobilize all resources in the society to support the poor. The program not only shows the care and concern of the Party and State for the poor, especially difficult circumstances in the province during Lunar New Year, but also means an encouragement to the poor".

One of the two important contents of the program "Tet for the poor 2018" is organizing groups to visit, give gifts to poor families in the province. Supported subjects were selected by Red Cross Association of 9 districts, towns, city and Dau Tieng Rubber Company, including: difficult families, policy families, victims of Agent Orange / dioxin, children with disabilities and the blind in the province. As planned, this year, the delegations will visit and give 2,000 gifts to the above subjects; Each gift worth 800,000 VND, including 500,000 VND in cash and a gift worth 300,000 VND.

Furthermore, provincial Red Cross will host a live broadcast program "Tet for the poor 2018" at Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center on 17 Jan. This program will be integrated with Pink Spring Festival program honoring voluntary blood donors in Binh Duong Province and giving gifts to "Every organization, every individual with a humanitarian address". In this live program, 1,000 poor people will receive Tet gifts.

Nguyen Thanh Truc added, up to now, the program received the donation of organizations, enterprises and individuals with the amount of about 1.8 billion VND. At present, provincial Red Cross is mobilizing and receiving support for funds, gifts and necessities. With the support of the whole society, hopefully this year, the poor people, especially difficult situations in the province, will have more gifts filled with love to have complete and warm Tet holidays.
