Vu Thanh Truc, Director of Coopmart Thu Dau Mot said that the supermarket has made great efforts to bring the best goods at reasonable price to serve its customers. Currently, the supermarket is trading nearly 6,000 goods, meeting the needs of customers. In particular, the supermarket is very concerned about food safety and hygiene. Currently, food products, especially pre-processed foods, are marinated and sold at Co.opmart after undergoing strict inspection from the beginning. These products have expiry date, if they are not sold out, the supermarket will destroy them immediately. Only in 2017, sales of the supermarket increased by more than 20%, exceeding the expectations of supermarket leaders.

According to Yasuo Nishitohge, General Manager of Aeon Mall Binh Duong Province, Aeon Mall was built as a commercial center not just for sales but to meet the needs of the locals by offering many utilities to make them feel at the most comfortable. Central management has made nonstop researches and analysis to attract tourists and keep customers towards the quality of Japan with the process of closely managing and monitoring of the quality of products. Anyone who enters the center should enjoy the modern, convenient and exceptionally friendly services. As a result, Aeon Mall Binh Duong has become attraction site of 4 million visitors, shopping right from the first few months of opening.

For the trade sector to grow by about 20% in 2018, Ho Van Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said that the Department recommends all economic sectors to invest in the development of trade infrastructure and market system that encouraging and facilitating the development of the circulation network for distribution and retailing in the province. The Department will focus on developing services in the direction of improving the quality, ensuring good services. In addition, the Department has also surveyed the situation of the supply and demand of essential goods to propose the provincial People's Committee to take timely measures to ensure the supply of goods and stabilize the market, helping the retail market to compete healthily and bringing convenience to consumers.

Representatives of many retailers assert that, to attract customers to shop, the unit must apply at the same time many solutions. In particular, more practical and attractive discounts are more than just incentives to increase the purchasing power of consumers. Truc said that to do this, retailers must have other solutions such as purchasing policies at source, especially for fresh foods, vegetables, fruits, poultries, and seafood to stabilize supply at cheap, stable and competitive manner. Units must also have policies to optimize management and logistics to save costs. The savings will be used to invest in pricing programs, customer care, and marketing researches.

Of the same point of view, representatives of Big C said that, in the context of increasingly fierce competition, supermarkets and suppliers need to maintain not only the purchasing power but also more cohesion and cooperation to keep the prices steady and retain customers.
