Provincial VCFA holds get-together in celebration of Lunar New Year 2017

Early January 7, provincial Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association (VCFA) held a get-together for members, former Song Be experts and Cambodian students who now attend Ngo Quyen University on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2017. Attending the event were Le Hong Liem, Vice-Chairman of the VCFA Central Committee; Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial People’s Council; Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

At the get-together, delegates marked 38 years of the Vietnamese volunteer soldiers’ support to liberate Cambodia from the Pol Pot genocidal regime. In 2016, activities of provincial VCFA continued reaching in-depth development with practical and effective models. The association mobilized more than VND900million for social charity activities. In 2017, it will boost practical activities in order to further consolidate the relationship between Vietnam-Cambodia in general and Binh Duong-localities in Cambodia in particular.

On this occasion, 6 individuals were awarded the insignias “For international duty”; 3 collectives and 5 individuals with the certificates of merit of the VCFA Central Committee, 15 individuals with the certificates of merit of provincial People’s Committee…
