Provincial Women’s Union marks Int’l Women’s Day

Early March 2, provincial Women’s Union held a get-together to mark the 107^th anniversary of International Women’s Day (March 3) and the 1977^th anniversary of the Trung sisters’ uprising.

Attending the event were Nguyen Minh Thuy, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission; Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, Head of provincial Committee for the Advancement of Women together with leaders of provincial Women’s Union over periods.

At the get-together, delegates reviewed the history of International Women’s Day and highlighted the victory of the Trung sisters’ uprising. Following the glorious tradition of Vietnamese women, women in Binh Duong actively studied, creatively worked, built up happy families in association with studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals over the past time. Provincial Women’s Union also promoted the campaign of “building families with 5 Nos, 3 Cleans”, strived to train women in the period of intensified national industrialization and modernization with 4 virtues: self-confidence, self-respect, faithfulness and responsibility, contributing to the local cause of construction and development.

Speaking at the get-together, Mr.Hung acknowledged and expressed his deep gratitude to contributions by leaders of provincial Women’s Union over periods.
