Provincial Women's Union continues to innovate operation, complete goals and tasks

On June 30, Provincial Women's Union (WU) held the 13th Executive Committee meeting to review union works and women's movements over the first 6 months of 2021. Nguyen Van Loc, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of Provincial Party Mass Mobilization Board, Chairman of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, chaired the conference.

In the past six months, WU at all levels closely followed instructions of upper-level WUs and Party Committees to implement priority and key taks. Provincial WU launched an emulation movement to carry out 267 projects and practical tasks such as: Building compassionate houses, giving health insurance, supporting livelihoods for poor women... The total value of works to welcome Women's Congress at all levels tenure 2021-2026 reached more than 4.4 billion VND. The prevention control of Covid-19 was prioritized to encourage people to implement the 5K message, supporting the province's Vaccine Fund, donating necessities at epidemic prevention and control checkpoints and to people in difficulty with total amount of nearly 903 million VND; giving gifts to concentrated isolation areas worth more than 723 million VND, supporting the consumption of agricultural products 93 million VND, implementing the project "Supporting women to start a business in the period 2018-2025" worth more than 4.6 billion VND …

Nguyen Van Loc appreciated WU performance in the past 6 months, especially contributions to the implementation of social security, taking care of the poor on Tet holiday, calling for resources in the fight against Covid-19. WUs at all level need to continue renovating their operation method, intensifying dissemination, and overcoming difficulties in order to organize Women's Union Congress at banches in an appropriate form, either in offline or online form to complete on schedule.
