“Red flamboyant” campaign 2017: Training, sharing and matureness

Implementing the Red flamboyant” campaign 2017 under the theme of “Training, sharing and matureness”, provincial Youth Unions at all levels have accompanied pupils with practical activities.

Under the campaign, volunteers are equipped with social practice skills. The campaign will focus on activities taking care of needy children and create an useful summer playground for them via cultural-sport activities; disseminate prevention of school violence, accidents, injuries in children…Accordingly, during the campaign, provincial Youth Union will team up with provincial Anti-fire Police Agency to organize swimming classes for children with difficult circumstances, training courses on skills against child drowning and abuse…

In response to the campaign, Di An town’s Youth Union has just organized the “Military semester” 2017 with the participation of nearly 100 pupils aged 10 and 14. During the six-day training course, these pupils were experienced useful lessons themed “Training”, “Working as farmers”, “Competition”, “Matureness”…at the Army Corps No.4’s Engineer Brigade No.550, helping them train their life skills. They also had a chance to take part in fun-filled cultural-sports activities. It is known that the useful and practical program is held annually by the town’s Youth Union, aiming to create an environment for children to train their personality and discipline during the summer vacation.

Whilst, province-based high schools and continuing education centers have also launched a “Green school” program with practical activities. The Youth Union braches of districts, towns and TDM city have also organized a lot of activities to care for children with difficult circumstances; carried out works on building civilized urban areas; decorated schools and given swimming training for children.

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Xuan, Vice-Secretary of provincial Youth Union said that during the campaign, the Youth Union branches of the province will concentrate on realizing “paying debt of gratitude” and “for social welfare” activities. Accordingly, they will organize delegations to visit heroic Vietnamese mothers, revolutionary contributors; clean up memorial temples, monuments and martyrs’ cemeteries, cultural-historical relics...They will also hold trips to cultural-historical relics and  contests learning about history. All will contribute to educating Youth Union members and pupils while helping them uphold their voluntary spirit, training and sharing for matureness.
