Religious organizations donate VND 200 million to Covid-19 prevention and control activities

In the morning of June 7, Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, Standing Member, Head of the provincial Committee for Mass Mobilization cum Chairman of the provincial Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee and Head of Binh Duong province's Relief Committee, received resources from religious organizations in the province to support the province's Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control.

Responding to the call of the Chairman of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of the province, this time, the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association has contributed and donated to the province's Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control a total amount of VND 150 million and Phu Cuong Cathedral Church in Thu Dau Mot city donated the amount of VND 50 million.

At the reception sites, representatives of religions shared the difficulties that the provincial authority and people are facing as the Covid-19 epidemic situation is complicated. In addition to contributed resources to the province's epidemic prevention and control, representatives of religions also said that they always accompany local authorities in the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control by actively propagandizing and mobilizing people of Buddhists and Catholics to comply with the local regulations on epidemic prevention and control and expressed their confidence in the province's Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Nguyen Van Loc sincerely appreciated the contributions of the provincial Board of Directors of the Vietnam Buddhist Association and the Phu Cuong Cathedral Church to the province's Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control. At the same time, he expressed his wish that religious organizations should continue to propagate and mobilize their religious followers to strictly comply with the 5K principles of Ministry of Health at all times to actively join hands for the province's epidemic prevention and control activities.
