Revenue from transportation and warehousing activities still increases

According to the report of Department of Transportation and on implementing Directive 16 of the Prime Minister, transportation businesses have strictly implemented epidemic prevention and control that have strictly complied with the suspension of passenger transport operations when there is any document from the management agency. Currently, 100% of passenger terminals across the river, transport business units, and bus stations are still closed. The Department of Transportation is coordinating with functional forces to at its best to facilitate the transportation of goods to serve the production and importation-exportation needs of enterprises during the Covid-19 epidemic situation.

Reportedly, revenue from transportation and warehousing activities in August 2021 was estimated at VND 1,999.3 billion, declining by 2.4% compared to the previous month. In the first 8 months of 2021, revenue from transportation activities was estimated at VND 16,862.7 billion, increasing by 6.5% over the same period. In which, passenger transport revenue has reached VND 502 billion, declining by 5.1% over the same period; freight revenue reached VND 6,370.1 billion, increasing by 4.2%; revenue from warehousing and transportation supporting services reached VND 9,990 billion, increasing by 8.6% over the same period.
