Timely sharing with people in the blockade and medical quarantine areas to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic as well as helping people and workers affected by the epidemic have become the job that leaders of Thu Dau Mot city are interested in. By the cooperation of the social community, during this epidemic, Thu Dau Mot city has received more supporting resources from units, businesses and individuals to organize many activities of sharing and timely care for the needed.

Mobilization established

Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of Vietnamese Fatherland Front and the provincial Vietnamese Fatherland Front, in order to have more resources for disease prevention, Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Dau Mot city has called on to all people, officers and soldiers of the armed forces, agencies, units and businesses inside and outside the city to participate in supporting the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic. Mr. Huynh Van Thanh, Head of the local Party Committee's Mass Mobilization, Chairman of Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Dau Mot city, said that during this epidemic, all levels, sectors and people of the city have been well implementing the measures to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic and gather all resources to be ready to respond to the epidemic.

Accordingly, the city's Vietnamese Fatherland Front has called on everyone with their affection and responsibility to actively contribute materially and spiritually to support the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic. “Immediately after the letter of calling, many officials, civil servants, organizations, businesses and people have participated in offering the resources that, after receiving, have been transferred to the Relief Committee of Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of the province to help the forces involving in the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic. This contributed to disease control and protection of public health," said Mr. Thanh.

Together with the Fatherland Front, the city's Red Cross has also widely called for associations at all levels in the area to mobilize more resources to support the epidemic prevention and control. Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc Truc, Chairwoman of Thu Dau Mot City Red Cross, said mobilization resources to support forces involving in disease prevention including masks, hand sanitizer, milk, and bottled water has been made along with more goods and necessities to help people in difficulty during this epidemic occurrence.

Practical sharing

In the past few days, when the epidemic situation has affected people's lives, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot city have directed departments, mass organizations and localities to mobilize more resources to jointly take care of people in the blockade and isolation areas, forces participating in disease prevention, and families in difficult circumstances affected by the Covid-19 epidemic. Activities to support people and forces participating in epidemic prevention and control have also received attention and support from provincial-level associations, departments and social communities. In addition to providing resources for the city, the provincial Red Cross has many times directly sent essential goods, vegetables, and fruits to help the forces participating in disease prevention and people in the blockade area of Hiep Thanh 3 Residential Area. Many other agencies and businesses also came to the place to give gifts to the frontline forces participating in disease prevention.

Not only did the whole community called to participate in supporting the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic, in order to promptly encourage local people, Thu Dau Mot city has also established many delegations to visit and give gifts to help poor households affected by the Covid-19 epidemic in the area. At the destinations, city leaders encouraged families to overcome the immediate difficulties and strictly abide by the regulations on Covid-19 disease prevention to protect their health, families and communities by working together with the locality to soon fight the epidemic.

Local leaders also visited and gave gifts to encourage the epidemic prevention and control forces at Covid-19 epidemic controlling points. The gifts, though not of great material value, showed the local leaders' deep concern for the people in the area, especially those in difficult circumstances. Ms. Nguyen Thu Cuc, Chairwoman of Thu Dau Mot city People's Committee, said that during this epidemic, Thu Dau Mot city continued to receive much attention from provincial leaders, departments, associations, provincial mass organizations and the active support of benefactors. The city authority will try its best to ensure the security and order to stabilize the lives of people in the area as well as to promptly take care of difficult situations.

“The city leadership is very concerned about not letting people, especially poor households and households in difficult circumstances fall into lack of food and essential necessities in daily life. Therefore, Thu Dau Mot city authority will maintain attention to and at the same time mobilize more resources to strive to a better life by working together with local authorities to perform well in Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control in the area," said Ms. Cuc.
