On the occasion of the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2020, leaders of provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Fatherland Front Committee together with sectors, departments and localities in the province, on January 10, held many delegations to visit, present Tet gifts to some armed forces, policy beneficiary families, poor households and children with extremely difficult circumstances.

Warm gifts

Early January 10, a delegation of provincial leaders, led by Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation visited, extended Tet greetings and offered gifts to officials, soldiers under the Infantry Division 7, Ngo Quyen university, 5 policy beneficiary families, 30 poor households and 20 needy children in Hiep An ward.

At the two army units, Mr.Nam informed officials, soldiers of achievements done by the province last year. These achievements were also contributed by them while wanting them to further uphold their tradition, maintaining the local safety and security…

The delegation also visited and offered Tet gifts to policy beneficiary families, poor households and children in Hiep An ward while wishing them a joyful and happy spring.

In Thuan An town, Nguyen Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, on January 10, headed a delegation to visit, present Tet gifts to policy beneficiary and poor households in Binh Nham ward. Particularly, the delegation donated gifts in cash from VND1million to VND2.5million each to 30 poor households, 20 needy children and 5 policy beneficiary families. The delegation also visited 2 policy beneficiary families of Hoang Vinh Loi in Binh Thuan quarter, Nguyen Thi Hai in Binh Hoa quarter in Binh Hoa ward and policy beneficiary families in Thuan An town’s Lai Thieu ward.

The same day, a delegation of provincial leaders, led by Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee visited, offered gifts to 5 policy beneficiary families in Tan Uyen town’s Bach Dang commune.

On this occasion, the delegation also visited, donated gifts to the Battalion 45 in Tan Phuoc Khanh ward; offered 30 gifts worth VND1.5million to poor households and 20 others worth VND1million each to children with extremely difficult circumstances in Bach Dang commune, Thai Hoa ward and Thanh Phuoc ward and 5 TV sets to poor households in Bach Dang commune.

In Bau Bang district, a delegation of provincial leaders, led by Nguyen Minh Thuy, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission visited, offered gifts to 5 policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors of Nguyen Thi Xuan, Huynh Van Cham, Pham Van Bao, Tran Van Dai and Pham Van Cong. On this occasion, the delegation also gave 20 gifts for children with extremely difficult circumstances and 49 gifts for poor households in Lai Thieu township.

Also on January 10, Le Huu Phuoc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda and Education Commission led a delegation to visit and offer gifts to policy beneficiaries, poor households and children with extremely difficult circumstances in Tan Binh and Binh My communes. Accordingly, the delegation visited, offered gifts in cash worth VND2.5million each and extended Tet greetings to heroic Vietnamese mother Le Thi Nam aged at 100, war invalids Nguyen Thanh Xuan, Tran Hoang Son, Bo Minh Chi and Nguyen Van Xung.

At the hall of the People’s Commune of Binh My commune, the delegation also gave 30 Tet gifts for 30 poor households in Binh My and Tan Binh communes together with 20 gifts for children with extremely difficult circumstances. In addition, the delegation also presented 9 TV sets to 9 poor households.

In Phu Giao district, Nguyen Hoang Chau, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chief of provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission together with leaders of sectors, departments in the province and the district held a delegation to visit, offer gifts to policy beneficiary families in Phuoc Hoa commune. The delegation visited, extended Tet greetings, offered gifts to policy beneficiary families, army units stationed in the district, namely the Commando Brigade 429, the Commando Arm, the Infantry Regiment 271, the Infantry Division 5, the Military Zone 7, the Commando Battalion 60…

A delegation of provincial leaders, led by Vo Van Ba, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Interior Commission together with leaders of sectors, departments and localities also visited, offered gifts and extended Tet greetings to policy beneficiary families, poor households and children with extremely difficult circumstances in Dau Tieng district.

In Dau Tieng township, the delegation offered 30 gifts to poor households and 20 gifts to children with extremely difficult circumstances. The delegation also visited, presented gifts to 5 policy beneficiary families of heroic Vietnamese mothers Phung Thi Len, Nguyen Thi Dam, Tran Thi Co, war invalid Dinh Van Hoanh and martyrs ‘wife Mai Ngoc Nga. In addition, the delegation paid a gift visit to the information unit of Cau mountain.

Early January 10, representatives of provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Fatherland Front Committee together with leaders of Ben Cat town visited, gave 5 gifts for policy beneficiary families; offered 30 gifts to poor households and 20 others for children with extremely difficult circumstances.

Joy of policy beneficiary families

According to statistics, the whole province now has 58,920 policy beneficiaries. On the occasion of the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2020, the province is expected to spend more than VND97billion on supporting heroic Vietnamese mothers, wounded and sick soldiers, and revolutionary contributors. Provincial leaders together with representatives of sectors, departments and localities have also organized many delegations to visit, extend Tet greetings and offer gifts to the local policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors.

As of now, localities in the province have fulfilled payment of allowances in January, February for all policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors with extremely difficult circumstances. Le Minh Quoc Cuong, Director of provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs said that over the past time, the province attached special importance to taking care of policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors and there were no more poor policy beneficiary families. Gifts given for the targeted people on the annual Tet festival are seen as the spiritual encouragement for them, helping them feel warmer when spring approaches.

Beloved spring to all people

With the spirit of compassion, provincial Mobilization Board of the Fund for the poor has also organized 2 delegations to visit, offer 1,750 Tet gifts worth VND500,000 each to disadvantaged people at province-based social support centers. In the visiting places, these delegations extended best regards to the targeted people and wanted them to enjoy a joyful and happy Tet.

Trang Thi Kim Lan, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee said that over the past years, authorities at all levels, agencies, organizations, donors and people from all strata in and out of the province actively responded to “Tet for the poor” programs, thereby helping the poor enjoy a warm and happy Tet.

Provincial Sponsoring Association for Disabled People, Orphans and Poor Patients, on January 10, donated 400 Tet gifts worth VND200million to orphan, handicapped children.

Over the past year, with the spirit of “mutual love, mutual affection”, businesswomen paid more attention to creating jobs for laborers and mutually supported for better development. The efforts by provincial Businesswomen Association in taking care of the poor on the Tet festival 2020 have contributed to the local social welfare.

Nguyen Van Nam, Chairman of provincial Sponsoring Association for Disabled People, Orphans and Poor Patients said that over the past time, the association received support from organizations, enterprises and donors, offering help to needy cases. The association also organized many practical activities, including building houses of compassion, providing free surgeries for poor patients, awarding scholarships, wheelchairs and bicycles and gifts to disadvantaged people on Tet and great holidays.

On the occasion of the Tet festival 2020, the association has mobilized organizations, individuals to take care of the handicapped, orphan children and poor patients with fatal illness. The association together with some units, individuals constructed and upgraded 5 houses of compassion, donated 40 wheelchairs and more than 900 gifts to disabled people with difficult circumstances. Noticeably, provincial Businesswomen Association visited and donated more than 1,700 clothes to orphans at provincial Social Support Center, Tu Tam Nhan Ai and Tinh Me social support facilities. The association will also continue working with donors to visit and offer Tet gifts to disadvantaged people across the province. Its Tet gift-visiting plan is expected to end on December 28 of lunar calendar.
